The 2024 Ford Escape is an incredibly stylish vehicle with a pair of great engine options and enjoyable driving dynamics. It’s as handsome on the inside as it is on the outside, and it has an impressive amount of cargo room for a compact vehicle. Plus, there’s lots of standard safety and infotainment technology you’ll appreciate.
Spacious Cabin
Passengers and cargo alike are well-accommodated in the Escape. The front has 40 inches of headroom, while the rear row has 39.3 inches of it. Up front, passengers get to enjoy 42.4 inches of legroom, while the second row has 40.7 inches of space for you to stretch your legs. In hybrid/plug-in hybrid models, the second row has 38.9 inches of legroom. Thanks to its roomy nature, even tall passengers are comfortable in this car.
If you have a lot of cargo to transport, then the Escape is more than up for the job, too. Folding down the second row gets you 65.4 cubic feet of space in gas engine models and 60.8 cubic feet of space in the hybrid/plug-in hybrid models. The cargo area behind the second row is 37.5 cubic feet in size in gas models and 34.4 cubic feet in size in hybrid/plug-in hybrid models.
Abundant Safety Technology
There’s a whole lot of technology to help keep you safe in the Escape thanks to Ford Co-Pilot360, which is standard on all trims. Standard features include a Blind Spot Information System with Rear Cross-Traffic Braking, a Lane-Keeping System, and Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking. The latter feature also has Dynamic Brake Support, Pedestrian Detection, and Forward Collision Warning.
You can opt to add Rear Parking Sensors, Evasive Steering Assist, and Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Lane Centering, and Speed Zone Recognition.
Incredible Infotainment
The standard infotainment screen is 8 inches in size and has wireless smartphone compatibility, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and SiriusXM with 360L. You can choose to upgrade to a larger 13.2-inch screen if desired. One year of a Connected Navigation plan is also available.
If you’re a music lover, then you may enjoy the available Bang & Olufsen 10-speaker sound system with a subwoofer. If you equip it, it replaces the standard 6-speaker system.
Wonderful Comfort
The Escape has an 8-way power driver’s seat in the base trim, and a 10-way power driver’s seat is also available. The front-seat passenger gets to enjoy a standard 4-way manual passenger seat in the base trim. You can also opt to upgrade that seat by equipping the car with a 6-way power passenger seat instead. Heated front-row seats are also available.
